Ghosts! Who is watching who?
The teaser explores an idea I've been experimenting with for years (ever since DF1 really); what if ghosts know we are watching? What if the very gadgets we use to 'hunt' ghosts provide a conduit, a portal, to their world, the ghost world?! Imagine an existence that sits alongside ours, invisible, like dark matter, but it occasionally 'seeps' into our world, creating ghost sightings and apparitions.
Do we, in turn, appear in their world, the past? Perhaps our appearance generates the very story that we are investigating? Or, we cause some sort of chronological damage? A rip in time, that leaks and distorts the here and now, a connection with all times? Basically, rather than think of ghost sightings as one-off, or occasionally recurring events, think instead that the ghosts are there the entire time, all around us. You just need the right tech, the right place, the right questions, and those connections become stronger.

Blackenrock -
Lots of quiet activity here, in the Darkling Room.
As mid Autumn approaches, it's time to start digging out the ghost gadgets and make the trip to Saxton. The game is big, better, and more engrossing than the first. It's also allowed me to have a bit of fun with the promotional materials (trailers, screenshots).
In the next two weeks there will be a creepy teaser to watch; a haunted house, a lone night-vision camera, the ghost of child, strangely aware of us, watching.
The full Trailer; a blast from the past, as Pathe News arrive in Saxton to investigate 'Haunted Towns', interviewing no less than local ghost-hunter, Nigel Danvers! Pip pip jolly ho!
A video of the new main theme, with in-game scenes and menu characters, to illustrate the audio.
There's also likely to be a LOT of new screenshots appearing soon, as the game manifests. So, I thought I'd pluck out a few and say something about them.

In other news, my plan is to finalise TLC2 before the summer, after I've shaken some more coins from my money box. It's never time that's the problem, it's funding the games. So, a more modern production to the adventure titles is inevitable. But rest assured, the next Crown feels like the first, there's no big changes there (just resolution, ratio).
After that, I'm moving into 3D. I've made some fun demos, to learn the ropes, so expect Dark Fall - Storm Warning in the autumn if all goes to plan (Q3).
But I might sneak out the seemingly abandoned GHOST/watch at some point, as that game is also now full 3D. It has drone exploration of a big haunted house, with experiments set up in the rooms to play around with.

The last crown in estate, Dark fall in autunno... sì certo, come no
Ovviamente inaffidabili, ma almeno sappiamo che è vivo.
