In some cases, the Zodiac client, or games installed through it, may be erronously reported as malware, or blocked by firewalls. This happens 'cause of behavioral or heuristical checks, and for the presence of some encrypted code (for some programs, what can't be checked - because of the encryption - is "evil" by default).

We're working to eliminate the problem or at least to limit its impact, but meanwhile, in this thread, I'll keep some info about how to set the most common (freeware) security programs to avoid Zodiac troubles.

If anybody has any specific requests, or finds out that the info provided is not effective anymore, or just wants to contribute sharing info about how to set some unlisted software, feel free to reply in this thread.

Before proceeding, some generic advices:
- set the programs to "ask what to do" in case of anomalies: the default action can be distructive, for example deleting a program that wasn't malicious
- when in doubt about some file, don't trust 100% your installed antivirus: upload it on and evaluate the results.
